The Emajõgi-Peipsi barge was a unique cargo sailbarge that was used on these waters for over 600 years - from the Hanseatic era to the mid-20th century. The new barge era began in 2006, when the Emajõgi Barge Society launched the barge Jõmmu.




 Peipsi is the 4th largest lake in Europe. Together with Emajõgi and Võrtsjärv, it forms the Estonian Great Lakes with the central port in Tartu. Lodjakoda is a unique theme park for building historical ships in the whole Baltic region, which started its activities in 2020. A new large barge is being built in Lodjakoda, which is planned to be launched in the spring of 2024. Come and see and cheer! Everyone who visits Lodjakoda and our ships helps to create new historical ships!

A two-masted barge was built in the Lodjakoda shipbuilding hall for the 2024 cultural capital. By visiting Lodjakoda, sailing with our ships or organizing an event in the house and / or on the ships, you will contribute to the birth of a new large barge! Come to Barge Hall, let’s sail into history!
